Champions of Hara

Champions of Hara is an adventure board game in which 2-6 players race to contain the Conflux, a hub of unstable energy. Champions collect energy by defeating monsters, closing rifts, and exploring the six different worlds within Hara. In order to rise to the challenge, players will need to unlock new skills and abilities by storing the energy they’ve obtained throughout their quest into their color Attunement Paths. The first player to fill all three Attunement Paths seals the Conflux and becomes Hara’s savior. In co-op mode, players will work together to save Hara by defeating powerful bosses, overcoming scenario-based challenges, and completing quests.

Ian, Walter and Zim grew up with Magic cards in one hand and Spiderman comics in the other. Since they were old enough to doodle, all three dreamt of nothing but designing games, writing stories, and building unique worlds. The team met during their freshman year at Skidmore college, and out of their inexorable friendship the world of Hara was born. In their senior year, the trio took first place in the Kenneth A. Freirich Business Plan Competition, earning the funding to get Leaf Pile Media off the ground. With a little seed money on the table, the team grew to include an incredible family of artists. They could not be happier than to have found a home with Greenbrier Games.

In the beginning, Hara was only the thread of a dream, a nucleus of energy born in the belly of the universe. This budding world surged with three powerful forces, each sowing a different aspect of creation across the land. The emerging life forms began to harness this power, shaping the world of Hara piece by piece. The result was beautiful... for a time.

With each eclipse of Hara’s two suns, these primal forces of creation rage out of control and threaten to tear the world apart. This cyclical descent into chaos is known as the Conflux. In an effort to quell the destruction wrought by the Conflux, The Kensei, Hara’s steward, sends a call across the universe, searching for individuals capable of wielding the creative energy in their own unique ways. Those who are summoned are challenged to compete amongst one another to contain the most wayward energy within his or herself. With each Conflux, only one can rise above and prove they are worthy to restore balance as a champion of Hara.
